BAPE - Mods Hat Collection

Japanese apparel label A Bathing Ape, better known as BAPE, made a pivotal transition last year into the more design-oriented contemporary fashion circle with the launch of URSUS BAPE collection. The subtle design concept also made its way to much of BAPE’s general release collection, including the new Mods Hat Collection. Gone are the heady days of wild graphics and dizzying patterns. Instead, a plain black wool felt construction with a simple hat band around the brim. All black, minus the brand, and more surprisingly, minus the iconic BAPE “gorilla” logo as well.

Marc Ecko x Playboy - Limited Edition T-Shirt Collection

KIKS TYO - Kiks Junkie Hoodie

Since last year KIKS TYO showed an indication of working with sneaker customizer and artist JOR by launching a new entrance artwork on the Tokyo store, then t-shirt graphic of the same design. Now a more elaborate design have dropped featuring a wide range of characters drawn by JOR on the Kiks Junkie Hoodie. The black body of the hoodie is covered with comic like illustrations by JOR in a full color all over print. Pop aesthetics and colors make this a fun piece with each character relating in one way or another to our culture. Hall of Fame - Polar Fleece Collection

Los Angeles-based Hall of Fame has just released a new collection of New Era 59FIFTY caps and t-shirts. The Polar Fleece Collection features two New Era 59FIFTY hats made out of fleece which comes in either Black or Navy. On the front of the hat “FAME” is written and on the back is the word “SPORT”. The t-shirts that come with this collection all have “FAME” written across the front and come in either Black, Heather Grey, Navy, or White. Wonderwall x KAWS Vinyl figure

Building off its original collaborative t-shirt back in 2008, famed Japanese architectural firm Wonderwall teams up with KAWS yet again, this time bringing that same tee graphic to life in the form of a vinyl figure. It seems like a release is slated for next month, with two different colorways being made available. The figure measures in at 22cm high. Stay tuned for a closer look and more concrete information as the release date nears.

Nike Sportswear - LunarLite Rejuven8 Mid+

Nike Sportswear has been flexing its technological muscles lately, as they’ve been introducing models with future-forward materials and silhouettes. In this Rejuven8 Mid+ model, the colorways are both quite striking–one in gray and blue, and the other in a Livestrong-esque black and yellow. Both of these boast a feather-light lunar sole and torch upper. The torch material is a three-ply, moisture-managing, temperature-controlling material that was developed so that the upper can individually mold to each wearer’s foot. The upper is also extremely light, so the wearer is getting increased stability at a much lighter weight. This + model is also equipped with the capacity to sync up with a user’s iPod. Nike is taking their newer models away from the retro past and into the future, which this sneaker achieves. Look for these soon at Nike Sportswear.

KIKS TYO - Buffalo Check Hooded Shirt

KIKS TYO is a brand that is influenced by sneaker culture and run by die hard sneaker heads in Tokyo. Their latest item may not seem to be influenced by sneakers however these Buffalo Check Hooded Shirts are made in colors that can be coordinated with current line up of sneakers. For this piece the concept is simple by adding a hood to standard shirt made with buffalo check. Subtle logo is placed on top of the left chest pocket with buttoned flap that is also mirrored on the right.

Supra - Spring 2010 - Cuban 1.5

Supra welcomes a fresh line-up of Cuban 1.5 to its solid family of kicks for Spring 2010. The low top Cuban 1.5 is updated with four colorways, TUF Black Perf, TUF White Perf, Canvas Red and Canvas Grey. The Cuban 1.5 is redolent of classic VANS slip-ons with a dressier laced twist. The kicks enjoy a little spring breeze with its latest TUF Black Perf, where the upper looks more ventilated with a perforated treatment. While the black version is already available at Supra dealers, the white version will be dropping in a month’s time on Feb. 15. The other two colorways remain standard and basic for those who are looking to deviate from black and white without being overt. All Cuban 1.5 come standard with leather laces and pop color chains. The red and grey canvas version will be dropping in the next few months, so keep an eye out for them at your favorite Supra retailer!

BMW x MEDICOM TOY BEARRICK ''BMW Studio One''

To commemerate the grand opening of the new BMW Studio One space later this month, MEDICOM TOY has teamed up with the German automotive manufacturer to create a three-piece release of the iconic BEARBRICK figure. With a theme of sustainability, 30% of the plastic used in the creation of the BEARBRICKS are recycled as the figure’s aesthetics represents aspects of the BMW EfficientDynamicstechnology. The figure comes in a 50%, 100% and 400% size. The BMW Studio One will serve as a place to educate in regards to the growing issues of sustainability in the automotive industry.

Nike Sportswear x Air Zoom Tennis Classic HF x White/Metallic Gold | Release Information

First previewed on Hiroshi Fujiwara’s PLOG segment on honeyee.com, the Air Zoom Tennis Classic HF in White/Metallic Gold is in fact a 3rd incarnaion of the previous Tennis Classic Pack in Suede, launched during Holiday 2008. In Summer 2009, Fujiwara, along with designer/friend Hirofumi Kiyonaga of SOPHNET., created a 2nd variant, in White Leather and Blue Suede for collaborative label Uniform Experiment. For 2010, Fujiwara is bring back the minimalistic design once again, with slight deviation in the form of lux White premium leather a subtle Metallic Gold accents along the tongue logo, heel tap, and Fujiwara’s own motif on the back heel. As with all other Air Zoom Tennis Classic, a oversize perforated Nike Swoosh dominate the side.

Supra x Spring Summer 2010 x Skylow 1.5

Other than a fresh line up of Vaiders with fun colorways such as Green Patent Leather and a fearless Neon Green number, Supra releases new colorways of their never-fail silhouette, the theatrical Skytop come in daring shades such as grey acid wash, purple patent leather and a fresh tie-dyed suede number. Some of the new colorways come with matching low-top friends, the Skylow 1.5. The Skylow is essentially a Skytop without the dramatic top, but retaining the signature patterning and panels found on the Sktop. The new releases come in interesting burnished shades of Red/Black Tie Dye Suede topped off with matching waxed black laces. Other colorways include a subtly opulent number mixing black crocodile patterned leather with suede atop white soles. The Skylow 1.5 also comes in the label’s signature TUF White colorway, due for a Feb. 15 release. Stay on the look out for them at Supra retailers near you!

San Francisco Chronicle - Twitter Headquarter By Sara Morishige Williams

Thanks to photographer Russell Yip from San Francisco Chronicle, readers get a closer look a the new headquarter for the all essential instant news widget, Twitter. Situated on 795 Folsom Street in San Francisco, the new office’s interior was by designer Sara Morishige Williams, who happens to be the wife of Evan Williams, Twitter’s CEO.

In its design, the interior reflects the company mantra of simplicity and minimalism. Yet, the space also exhibits a sense of “warmth” and rustic charm. Silhouettes of birds, custom decals and wallpapers, all served as reminder of the company’s name. The interior design is not at all a labyrinth for techies or industrial design galore. Instead a central theme of rustic elements dotted throughout the office. It instills a Mid-West sensibility with the collection of unfinished wood furnishings. deer mantles, homey embroidered seat cushions.

Krazee Duck 2nd series " Respest "

Dorothy Tang of Adidas Original Star Wars Campaign

Prior to the global adidas Originals Star Wars Campaign, Hong Kong artist Dorophy Tang has once again joined forces with the sportswear label, this time to recreate a series of vintage Star Wars posters in her signature style. They’re now being exhibited at the adidas Originals Dunhua concept store in China. Here’s a look at them.
